Child Abuse Investigations
This workshop is designed to show why child abuse investigations are unique and why they must be treated differently than other cases.
Detective McNeil will discuss the importance of forensic interviews and point out evidence that some investigators miss while observing them (i.e.importance of anatomical drawings, child’s response when talking about incident or suspect, parents’ preconference interview; people, places and things child mentions during the interview).
