What Happens in This House
In this workshop Detective McNeil demonstrates how domestic violence is a crime against society. He teaches investigators and social workers how important it is to establish a rapport with the victim. He shows why each domestic violence call should be tracked and logged even if no case or arrest is made.
Detective McNeil shares his own experience of growing up in an abusive home to show how it affected his childhood. He will also discuss why interviewing children is important in every domestic violence investigation.
